I got my ears pierced!

Daddy had to hold down my head and upper body, while Mommy held down my kicking legs...
The things us girls must do for beauty, eh?

I can't imagine waxing my eyebrows! (we'll have to do that soon - I inherited Daddy's bushy brows!)

My 9 month checkup

You still can't trick me into letting go while I'm standing... I know how to bend my knees and get back down to the floor!

I had my ninth month checkup on Wednesday... Doc says everything is progressing well! She says I'm really strong - we knew that already though...

I'm now 18 lbs, 1.5 oz and I'm 28.5 inches long. We should have measured the circumference of my belly... I think my waistline is getting smaller - or everything else is getting bigger!

My 9th Month celebration

We celebrated my 9 month birthday at Grandma's house on Monday night... we didn't really "celebrate" it, we just sang Happy Birthday when the dessert came out!

I think each candle = 3 months!

I'm 9 months old!

I'm 9 months old already!

We started the day off at Church... as you already know, I love to sing in Church - so Mommy took me to the Nursing room where we met a new baby! She was 5 days old and sooo tiny! Remember when I was that small? It wasn't that long ago!

We met my Ninongs, Auntie Chee-deh and Auntie Charlie for brunch in the City... apparently this place had the yummiest French Toast ever! Here I am with Ninong JB and Auntie Charlie.

Ninong Ray and Auntie Chee-deh offered to watch me while Mommy and Daddy went to Macy's. I was so excited to play with them! I got to play with their electronic "toys" (Cell phones, remote controls) and I got to bang on Ninong's computer! I was sooo pooped out from all this playing that I passed out in the car in under a minute! I think that's a record!

We ate at Santa Ramen and watched the Oscars at Ninong JB's house... All this playing made me really tired!

Auntie Kristina is moving to Boston, so we took her out for dinner to say bye bye...

We went to Archipelago... It was one of those restaurants that you spend too much money and leave hungry... we ended up eating again at Crepevine right after! Almost like that mastercard commercial!

Kinda late, but Mommy couldn't upload these pictures since the camera was left at Uncle Josh's place!

My sippy cup has become a sip and spout cup... It's tons of fun, but I don't actually get any water down (which causes me to get a little *ehem* backed up)

Mommy has been giving me water in a little cup, every morning, for a couple of weeks now... it used to work! Down goes the water, out comes the poop...

Until I learned my latest trick:

No Camera this weekend!

Daddy left the camera at Uncle Josh's place this weekend, so we're going to have another photo-less entry!

Here are some things I got to do this weekend!

* I got to see Uncle Jason for the first time since the cousin Christmas party weekend... He stayed over because Daddy, Uncle Jason and Uncle Josh had their 13th annual brothers weekend. We played Peek-A-Boo and he made me giggle and scrunch up my nose... I had to study him carefully though - he looks a little like Daddy and a little like Uncle Josh.... I was really confused!

* I got to sing at New Church - I made flirty faces at the people behind me for a little while... then I got bored and decided to show off my vocal talents... Mommy took me outside for some fresh air! It seems the warm weather spell has ended because it was pretty chilly on Sunday!

* Mommy, Daddy and I had a nice Sunday afternoon and evening at home. We decided to do NOTHING! because there's always errands to run on the weekends and we wanted to do nothing for a change! We even took a "group nap" in the afternoon! I think Mommy and Daddy would have slept longer if I didn't wake up to play!

* Monday - President's day - Almost Nobody had to work (right, Daddy? or Everybody had the day off, except for some people.) Mommy and Daddy had non-baby friendly errands to run, so I spent most of the day with Grandma Lynn, Grandma Dolly and Grandpa Trevor... we went Grocery shopping and I was pretty occupied with my banana in my mesh fruit holder thingy...

* I had my first teething biscuit today and I went at it like a pro! In no time, I broke it in half and spent equal amounts of time chewing on the one in my right hand and then in my left hand...Again, we had no camera - so Mommy will have to take pictures another time!

* I got a new toothbrush! No Camera = No Pictures of me squirming and biting Mommy's finger!

* My second tooth broke through my gums! It's my bottom left tooth... I've bitten Mommy's fingers a few times, and even bit her lip! You should hear her scream! Daddy and I can't believe she went through labor and delivery because she has ZERO pain tolerance! What a WIMP!

We should get the camera back tomorrow! Then I'll show you my new teeth!

Saturday with Grandma Lynn

Grandma Lynn has offered to take care of me every other Saturday so Mommy and Daddy can get some errands done... Yeah, right! She offered to take care of me so we can have time together!

This was the first Saturday that we got to go OUT together. Usually we spend our Saturdays together at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

We went out to lunch with Auntie Karen and Grandma says I was a very good girl. The waitress warmed up my food and I got to eat with the lovely ladies!

Next we went to Babies R Us and did a little shopping - Mommy and Daddy (I don't know exactly who it was, because they both blame each other) forgot to bring my main diaper bag - the one with all the diapers! - to Grandma's house, so Grandma needed to buy me diapers. She saw some cute outfits there and couldn't resist getting them for me too!

Of course, my shoes were in the main diaper bag too... so we all went to the mall to get my feet measured and Grandma bought me proper walking shoes! I'm getting used to this kind of life!

We went back to Grandma's house and I got to play with Auntie Karen and Grandma Babes - I showed off my new shoes and I walked around my makeshift walking station (Grandma Lynn set up the chairs so I could cruise from chair to chair!)

I had lots of fun Grandma! Can't wait to do it again next time!

My first Ash Wednesday

Mommy and I went to the mid-day Ash Wednesday mass. We thought the church would be practically empty, since we were going at 12:15 (and most people work, right?) but the Church was almost completely full!

As usual, I was quiet during the singing and singing during the moments of silence... Mommy put her hand over my mouth to quiet me a little and I blew a raspberry into her hand! A little embarrassing for Mommy, but not for me because I got some laughs from the people around me!

Shortly after I got the ashes on my forehead, I made sure to wipe my forehead on Mommy's cheek... She had extra ashes on Ash Wednesday!

Daddy's Monday Night Birthday celebration

We celebrated Daddy's birthday at Grandma's on Monday night... We ended a wonderful dinner with a Birthday Fruit Tart... Mommy and Daddy were very excited to see it come out! (Mommy was more excited, but Daddy was the one who had seconds!)

Daddy's Rockstar/Superbowl party

awww shucks... Mommy forgot the camera!

On February 3, Ninong JB hosted a Rockband/Superbowl party for Daddy. It was great to see everyone! I got to play with everyone while Mommy and Daddy were in the kitchen cooking up 3 different types of wings (Buffalo-style, Honey Garlic and Lemon Pepper)... it was definitely a meat-fest - Ninong JB cooked tri-tip and Ninong Ray was on the grill cooking up the chicken and sausages!

A new up and coming band was formed that night "The Santa Ramen Club" with it's members Mango, Cherry, and the guitarists Jimi and Hendrix... Adults can be pretty silly sometimes!

Today is my Lola Syl's first birthday as a Grandma!

I hope she has a great birthday! Even though she's all the way in Toronto, we think of her all the time here in California! I usually get to talk to her on the phone and I'll call her today to wish her a happy birthday!
