Happy Birthday Mommy!

On Tuesday, Mommy wanted to spend the day downtown, so Daddy and I obliged!

We were going to take "the better way" at first, but it was a pretty rainy day... Lola was nice enough to drive home for lunch to let us use her car (this was actually going to be the only day that Lola had her car).

We were going to have lunch on the Danforth, but decided to skip it and go to the St. Lawrence Market instead.

We walked by Mommy's Elementary school during recess and Mommy saw a few teachers (Mrs. Montano and Mrs. Suda) that recognized her. We were able to go inside the school and see Mrs. De Courcy, Mommy's 2nd, 3rd and 8th grade teacher. She was very happy to meet us!

The Market wasn't full like it normally is on Saturdays, so I was able to run around!

We enjoyed our sandwiches for lunch - a peameal bacon sandwich from Carousel Bakery and a Chicken Parmigiana sandwich from Mustachio's. Yummmy! I was only able to eat the peameal though. Mommy was tempted to get a bunch of pastries and tarts, but we decided against it... we had no room in our food tour schedule to eat these!
Ninang Rach met us at the Market and we hung out for a while... we decided to go shopping at the Eaton Centre before dinner.

After drinks (I drank "AH-DOW"), we met Lola and Tiyo Kevin at Ruth's Chris for dinner.

This Ruth's Chris experience wasn't as good as our past experiences... don't go for the prime time deal - just order what you want... Daddy regretted not ordering his usual - the Cowboy ribeye... Mommy enjoyed her meal, a petite filet.
Lola order a combo platter and instead of the stuffed chicken, we ordered a plain chicken breast for me.

Dinner at Magic Wok

We finished off the night with dinner at Magic Wok. We enjoyed the Cantonese style cuisine and it topped Mommy and Daddy's top 5 list! I loved eating the Steamed Black Cod and Fried Rice with no egg. Ate Rayanne slurped up her soup and even fed it to her new Princess toy (Princess Rebecca).

It was getting to dark and too cold for Mini-Putt, so we looked for an indoor play area - the only one we could find was McDonald's! I'm still not big enough to climb up the play structure by myself (plus, Daddy said it smelled like dirty feet and pee), so I enjoyed watching Ate Rayanne climb up and slide down!

Visiting the Cruzada's up North

After lunch, we picked up Lola and headed up to Markham to visit the Cruzada's. We were supposed to take Ate Hannah and Ate Rayanne to the Mini-Putt range on Friday, but we didn't have enough time - so we decided on Monday instead. Poor Ate Hannah, she was sick and she couldn't come with us. We hung out at the house for a little while and I got to play with my cousins.

Here's the newest addition to the clan... Emma Riley! or EB2, as we like to call her...

"I'm your cousin, Addi... I'll take care of you when you move to Cali!"

Duff's Buffalo Wings

No trip to Toronto is ever complete without a visit to Duff's! We pencilled Duff's in for lunch on Monday.

I needed to run around first before our big meal!

Mommy enjoys her Medium Hot wing (She and Daddy should have ordered HOT!), while I savour my plain wing. The owner and waitress were very accommodating to my food allergies, advising us not to let me eat the fries, since they're sprinkled with wheat... They made a side order of plain wings for me, something they don't usually do!

Mommy's been craving authentic Buffalo wings ever since she moved to California! You can't beat spicy and tangy wings!

Mommy and Daddy wanted to try a Trini Roti place on Sunday... Roti Hut is a Guyanese restaurant and ACR is Trinidadian. There wasn't any place to sit at ACR, so we just ordered "TOGO" and ate at Cedarbrae Mall. We met up with Lolo, who played with me and fed me while Mommy and Daddy ate their Rotis.

Our Birthday Party!

On Saturday September 27, Lola had a party at her house for Mommy's 29th birthday and my 16 month birthday (Daddy turned xx and 8 months old too!). I met all these new people who have been in Mommy's life since she was born!

Here I am with Charles, my nephew? I don't know the relation... I know his Great-Grandma and Lolo are cousins...
