A late lunch at Uncle Ramil's.

The next day we planned to have brunch at Uncle Ramil's and have a whole day in the city with Uncle Francis, Ninang Trae and Ate Seyla.... but the guys had a little too much fun the night before, so we started later than expected... Lunch at 4, anyone?

People used to say I have Tiyo Kev's lips...

It looks like I have his eyes (in this picture, anyways!)

Lolo Frank watches me rock out on the piano!

I just wanna run around!

I'm trying to take off Lolo's glasses... I'm quick!

Now I try to take off his hat!

I loved playing with the chimes!

Milestone Birthday

On Friday, July 25, Grandma Lyn, Auntie Rose, Uncle Eric and Uncle Dennis celebrated their Milestone Birthdays - They turned 65, 60, 55 and 50 in the same year!

Tiyo Kev was just holding me and next thing you know... I'm out like a light!

He decides this is the perfect opportunity to hold me and chug his beer.

I'm 14 months old!

Mommy makes me laugh and I show off my 7 teeth!

I scrunch my nose when I smile!

I'm a lion!

I'm a very active 14 month old! I love to move around and discover new things! I enjoy emptying bins, baskets and everything! I love to make people laugh by making silly noises (like barking like a dog... actually, I think I learn this in a few weeks). I love to have books read to me, but I normally don't have the patience to sit through the whole thing - I'll turn pages too early and I'll grab a new book for you to read me before you even finish the old one! I love to kiss people, strangers and mirrors. I love to eat meat! Yum! I'll never turn it down (except for when I'm sick!) I will say UP UP UP until you pick me up! Sometimes I'll say UP when I really mean DOWN. I love to say Mama and Dada over and over again - they're still interchangeable, but whatever - they know what I mean! I love to say BALL and run to it. I'll point at it if you ask me where it is ... you can hide it from me, but I'll always find it! I'll find my piggy if you ask me to also! I also learned how to say LOLA, but it sounds more like LAH LA - and I'll stick my tongue out when I say it! I can pick people's noses on demand, but Mommy's still trying to teach me how to put it in their mouths... I have a habit of waving my arm to and fro when I'm "running" (walking quickly). I'm not a big fan of shoes and socks, I'll always take them off - which is fine with Mommy, since she can't find walking shoes in my size anyways (she's a size 2, which is 3-6 months and most shoes that size don't have tracking on them... what 3-6 month old walks anyways?!?) I play hard to get - if you give me a lot of attention, I won't give you any.. but if you ignore me, I'll purse my lips together and hum (which means "You better kiss me now!!!). I'm an absolute joy and a beautiful baby girl - Mommy and Daddy can't stop staring at me... Every few days, Daddy talks about getting a shot gun to scare away my potential suitors...

Lots of Deliveries!

I love to climb things! Did Mommy tell you already?

I was super excited to see all these boxes I could climb on top of!

Bye Bye Ninang Jo and Auntie Syl!

We rushed from the Wharf to Union Square to say Bye to Ninang Jo, Auntie Syl and Auntie Tess before they left for Toronto. It was great seeing you again!

See you in September!

Fisherman's Wharf

On Monday, July 21 we went to the City with Tiyo Kev, Uncle Francis, Ninang Trae and Seyla.

We planned to leave earlier, but as usual, we left the house late for whatever reason (I can't remember! It was such a long time ago!)

Ate Seyla and me... just waiting around!

We're finally here! and starving! We ate at Nonna Rose's along the Wharf. The crab was delicious and Mommy still talks about the drawn butter... yum! (neither of which I can eat!). I had french fries. I don't know if it's the first time I had fries, but I ate French Fries 3 times this week and I've never eaten them before! and I haven't since this week!

Itis!

Ninang and Mommy show off their finished crabs!

Tiyo Kev and me... It was a really chilly day!

I love when people come from out of town! Then I get to show them around! The wharf is always a favourite! I didn't get to see the Sea Lions with Seyla - we were in a hurry!

Bye Bye Ninang Rach and Ate Hannah

Me, Hannah and Emily!

Ate Hannah said her arms were hurting from trying to hold us!

Ninang Rach and me!

Ninang Rach and Ate Hannah had to leave the next day... We hung out with them at Uncle EB's before they took off to Toronto.

See you in September!

Mommy and Daddy's Wedding

I don't have any pictures from my camera (of course!) to post, but some folks were kind enough to post their pictures on our shutterfly site.

If you'd like to see the pictures, please email me for the link and password!

Addi's "Da choos"

It's me again... kinda difficult to blog in order, so this is ANOTHER out-of-order post because I don't want to forget what's been going on lately!

We've got quite the polite little girl here - She learned how to say "Thank you" a few weeks ago... but it sounds more like "Da choo" or "Day Too".

She first used it correctly - saying thank you when receiving something...

then she used it to ask for something... it'll get louder and louder if you don't give it to her...
Addi: (sticks out her hand) day too
Addi: (points to it) Day Too
Addi: (whines): DAY CHOOOO!

then you give her whatever she's asking for
Addi: day too

TODAY:
she handed me a towel I dropped when I loaded the dryer and said
"day choo"

I guess she's learning how to teach others how to say thank you too!

We're also encouraging her to feed herself (yesterday she fed herself spaghetti - imagine what a mess that was! pictures to follow...)

In turn, she likes to feed me too... James always makes fun of me because I open my mouth and say "Ahhh" when I'm feeding her. Now she does the same thing too! Earlier she had a fistful of cheerios and she said "Ahhh" while putting them in front of my mouth (oh! she's try
ing to feed me!). So I opened my mouth and the entire fistful of Cheerios was shoved into my mouth - she was careful... if any were about to fall, she made sure to SHOVE them back in. Needless to say, her hand was covered in my saliva! yuck!

oh Addi... you gotta love her!

Addi's Uh-oh's

From Mommy...

I'm trying to update the blog in order of events, but I have to blog about 3 things that happened in the last 2 days...

YESTERDAY - I usually let Addi play with my phone. She likes to pretend that she's talking on the phone and she'll put the phone to her ear and pretend to make a call... Some of you have received calls from my phone, but really.... it's Addi!

Every now and then she'll "misplace" my phone and I won't notice it's missing... well yesterday I was trying to find my phone and no luck... later on in the day I hear my phone ringing and I'm thinking "Where is that coming from?!?" Guess where I found it....

In the diaper dekor (our diaper bin) ! I answered the phone, but I had to get off ASAP because the phone smelled like dirty diapers! GROSS!

TODAY - Ever since Addi outgrew her swing, I've been trying to find ways to keep her occupied/entertained while I take a shower. I tried putting her playard in front of the bathroom (it's too big though) and usually I'll wait for her nap. Time is a commodity now and I try to do other things while she's napping.... so today, I put her highchair in front of the bathroom while I showered with the door open. I strapped her in, snapped her tray in place and gave her a cookie and toys to play with. Of course, she finished her cookie in no time and dropped her toys on the ground. I ran out and grabbed a book that was beside her to let her "read". She dropped the book and I wasn't going to give it to her because I knew that she would learn to drop things to get my attention.... anyhow.... I have no idea how she did this, but she got out of her 3-point harness and got her legs from under the high chair tray and stood up on her seat... luckily I found her in time and grabbed (and scolded) her! She's such a little escape artist!

and a monkey - James taught her how to climb up on the couches a couple of days ago, so it's been her favorite thing to do lately... I was talking on the phone beside her and she climbed up on the couch and walked right off it! I don't think she would have cried if I didn't scream, but she cried...

little monkey!
