Using my push walker!

I've had my push walker for a while now... 2 months, at least! I mostly just used it to sit on and to play with the little spinnies and crankies and turnies...

This is basically how I USED to play with my push walker...

Look at me now!

Yay! I'm using my push walker!
Now if only this thing would go straight!

I'm crashing into more things!
It's like bumper cars!

Learning to drink from a cup

Mommy's been giving me even more freedom during feeding time! She lets me use a spoon and today, she thought "what the heck - I'll let Addi use a cup herself too!" (knowing that it would be one big, wet mess!)

Even though this cup is small, I still can't wrap my fingers around it!
Mommy tried to teach me to use both my hands to "cup" the cup, but this way is easier for me...

I took Mommy's advice and used both hands!
Look at how wet my tray is!

What else can I say... it's a learning process!

I'm gonna get you!

Here's a video of me playing with Mama...

She's running towards me and saying "I'm gonna get you!" and I'm just squealing with delight!

Learning to kiss...

Mommy and Daddy are going to regret teaching me this one day!

Mommy is trying to teach me how to kiss - first she started with me kissing her (but I would just make the kissy kissy sounds at first - now I'll lean in 90% and she'll come in 10%) and now she's teaching me how to kiss the mirror (what a mess!)

Possible first word - by Mommy

Addison may or may not have said her first actual understood word!

Of course she says Mama and Dada and even Addi, but they're always at completely random times and I don't think she understands what these words mean...

When she calls for me, these three words are interchangeable and the occasional shriek of excitement or horror thrown in the mix...

Anyhoo... I was playing with Addison yesterday and saying "up" and throwing her in the air. I would coax her to say "UP" and she would repeat what I say... (She's also a parrot - she likes to mimic syllables). I would say "UP" (like 5 times) and she would say "UP" and I'd lift her in the air.

This morning, while we were all in bed, Addison was trying to pull herself up and she said "UP"... James and I looked at each other like "What the heck just happened here?"

So I don't know... did she say her first real word?!?

The lighting is a little better!
I'm very squeally in this one!

Walking with Mama

I'm 10 months old!

I turned 10 months old today!

Daddy's sick and he spent most of the day in bed, but later on in the day he managed to muster up the strength to get out with us.

I'm starting to master the "pincer grasp"
I've got a cheerio!

Whoo hoo!
We made a post-Easter pitstop at In-N-Out!

I usually get delirious before naptime...
too bad I skipped my afternoon nap (I seem to miss my Monday afternoon naps)

This is how Mommy sees me when we go for walks.

Don't I look like a troublemaker?!?
We took a walk around the marina.

Dada and me at the harbor.

The hoodie family

Cozy in my stroller

I walked around the livingroom with Daddy.

My ten month birthday fruit tart!
One candle for every other month!

My real birthday is only two months away!
By then I should be a pro at this candle thing!

Happy Birthday Auntie Monica!

Just wanted to wish my Auntie Monica a Happy Birthday!

Hope you have a great day in sunny Sacramento!

My First Easter

I spent my first Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's house... we had a last minute potluck party with some of my cousins.

I was having such a great time that I barely noticed the bunny ears on my head!
(Funny, she usually gets REALLY annoyed with headbands!)

Me, Grandpa Trevor and Grandpa Larry by the big bunny.

I'm checking out all the Easter goodies!

"Which one is mine, Mommy?"

Me and Grandma Lyn.

Here I am with my cousins Madisyn and Lauryn.

Here I am with cousin Madisyn and Grandma Belen.
Grandma Belen kept me pretty occupied in Church!
I think she's the main reason why I didn't sing during the "listening" parts!

My dashing daddy and me!

Mama and me.

The Grandmas slipped Madisyn's dress off her shoulders and made her pose like this...
I bet I'll have a picture like this in a year or two!
Doesn't she look cute!

I was lifting my dress up and down, up and down...
Thankfully, Mommy caught me on the "down", or else this would be a very embarrassing picture!
Look at how surprised Mason is!

And so begins the Egg hunt!
I found the purple egg!
Can you see it?

Gotcha!

Cousin Mason waited for the eggs to come to him...
smart kid!

Cousin Ison cheesin' and showing off his egg basket!

I was really excited to find all these eggs!

A golden egg!
It's my lucky day!

Cousin Madisyn has eyes like a hawk!
She found tons of eggs!

Cousin Izzy had a great time putting eggs in her basket!

Grandmas and babies!

Chaos!

I found a box of Junior Caramels!

I showed it to cousin Izzy.

Uncle Izzy shows Auntie Anna and Izzy that he can be a cute pink bunny!
Auntie Anna refuses to give him any attention!

Cruzada parties always end in a group nap!
There are empty beds in the other rooms, people!

Happy Easter Everyone!

O Hanami!

Well, not really...

We didn't have a picnic of beer and snacks in the park, but close enough!

Mommy wanted to take pictures of me in my Sakura (cherry blossom) yukata outfit while the cherry blossoms were still in bloom. She told Daddy "We won't be able to take pictures tomorrow because it's Easter and the cherry blossoms may not be here tomorrow". "Fine", Daddy says, not wanting to leave the house.

Mommy got me ready in my cute outfit that Mommy bought me in Japan...
"bought me in Japan?!?", you think... "When did they go to Japan again?"
Well, Mommy actually bought one outfit for her future daughter... and that's me! She bought it a year and a half before I was even born! (to tell you the truth I thought it would be for my distant future daughter, not my near future daughter!)

We're on our way to the Cherry Blossoms!
I'm already giddy!

Here I am with the white cherry blossoms...
This is in front of the Cherry Blossom Inn.

I'm checking out the Sakura...
Do you like my outfit?

Here I am with Daddy...
A car distracted me!

I was very wiggly...
Mommy had a hard time keeping me still!

Here's a picture of me without Mommy's hands in the way...

Me and Dada!

Mommy finally caught my smile!

I liked touching the cherry blossoms!

We were having a lot of fun!
A couple of ladies stopped to talk to us while we were taking pictures.

Daddy took this picture.
Daddy didn't like this picture because of the telephone wires...
Mommy likes it because the wires add contrast to the blossom's softness.

Can you see the sun peeking through the tree?
Pretty, eh?
(taken by Daddy too!)

Me and Mama.

I love this picture!

I was loving all the attention!

I can reach it!

Looking at the sun...

Looking at the people...

Looking at the camera...

Family picture by Mama!

Mommy went to the grocery store and Daddy and I went home.
He plucked this perfect cherry blossom and put it in my hair.

They're really small, but this one is as big as my ear!

I kept it in my ear until Mommy got home!

While Mommy was at the grocery store, Daddy called Mommy and said, "I'm glad we went out to take pictures with Addi today"... and Mommy gloatingly smiled.
