Lin Garden

We were very excited for our dinner at Lin Garden! Ninang Joy, Ninang Trae, Uncle Francis and Ate Seyla joined us. Tiyo Kev even made a special trip all the way from his house to join us for dinner AND there was a major subway delay! He says it was all for Lin Garden, but I know it was really to see me!

All the food was delicious - we had to make a special order of fried rice with no egg for me, but from what I could see, the adults enjoyed their House Shrimp, Chicken Pakora, Chili Chicken and Fo Mi Mien!

Date with my godsisters

On Thursday afternoon, we picked up Ate Rayanne (Daddy's goddaughter) and Ate Hannah (Mommy's goddaughter) to take them out. Initially, we were going to go mini-golfing, but we didn't end up having enough time because we had dinner plans. Instead, we went to the mall... what little girl DOESN'T like to go to the mall!?!?

I don't think they're big enough to swing me properly...
but I loved it anyways!

We sat on this bench to enjoy our ice cream.
I shared a strawberry-orange juice with Daddy, while Mommy devoured her beloved Yogen Fruz.

We rented a stroller for about an hour - the girls got to take turns riding with me!

Rayanne drew a picture of us:
(in order) Daddy, Mommy, me, Rayanne and Hannah!

What a fun day! Can't wait to play mini-putt!

Persian Food...

On Thursday, we picked up Lola and ate lunch at Lola's fave Persian restaurant... so far this was Daddy's favourite meal too!

I loved the Hummous and Tahini!

My first piano!

On my 16th month birthday, we came home to a big surprise from Lola...

She bought me my first piano keyboard! It plays different songs and you can sing on the microphone - which I LOVE to do! You can even record and play what you just played on the keyboard!

What's in the bag?

OMG! It looks like a piano!

I love to play the keys!

I can even get on the table to play it!

Wah Sing

On Wednesday, we had dinner at Wah Sing, a Chinese Seafood restaurant. We feasted on Lobster great company!

Mommy, Tiyo Kev and me.
Tiyo Kev got some bad news during dinner - there was a leak in his house... went from the 3rd floor to the main floor, barely missing his laptop!
Bummer!

Ninang Joy and Daddy's "before" picture...
Hungry and wide-eyed!

Me with the men... (Tiyo Kev left to check on his house at this point)

Lolo and me...
Lolo kept me entertained by showing me the fish in the tanks.

Happy and full!

Pit Stop at Nova Era

We couldn't skip Nova Era!

We made our way to Nova Era, a Portuguese Bakery chain, in Little Italy. They're known for their delicious Pasteis Nata (Portuguese Custard Tarts). We came just in time to clean them out of Nata...actually, if we were there 1 minute earlier, we would have bought at least a dozen!

Trying to decide what I want...

If you don't know me by now, you'll need to know that I love to run around. I'm not a fan of sitting in my car seat or stroller for extended periods of time.
Mommy and Daddy decided to take 15 minutes to let me run around an empty basketball court so I could get all this pent-up energy out...

It's so good to be free of straps and restrictive devices!

I'm Sixteen Months Old!

Wednesday, September 24 was a very special day because not only did I turn 16 months old, but it was Samara's 1st birthday and baby Xavier was born!

Mommy wanted to take my 16 month birthday photo in front of the CN Tower. We wanted to take a picture further away from the tower so you could see it against the Toronto skyline, but we just went to the bottom of it instead. You can still see the beautiful Toronto sky - it was such a beautiful day!

For those who don't know, the CN tower is the world's tallest freestanding structure at 553m (1815ft) tall. If you go to the top, you can check out the revolving restaurant and the glass bottom floor! We'll go up the tower when I'm older...then I'll be able to remember the experience!

Here's our first attempt at "Addi and the CN tower"

Daddy and me... aren't we cute?!?

Mommy said "This is the worst possible angle you can take a picture of me!"
It was the only way to get the full tower!

I had lots of fun going up and down while Daddy was lifting me up for the picture!

I'm flying!

Trying to make me look bigger...

Ok... where to next?

Rebel House

One of our stops on our food tour was at Rebel House for their version of the Poutine... They make butterfly chip fries and cover them with 2 different kinds of cheese and cover them in gravy... not like the Montreal Poutine with cheese curds, but just as delicious! (even though I couldn't eat ANY of it!)

We sat in the parachute patio!

Daddy wanted to shoot the beer list behind us...

Oooey, gooey Rebel House Poutine!

Melted Cheese...

"Cheesh" to make your heart melt!

Our quick Yorkville visit

We couldn't come to Toronto and not have Havana's infamous coffee!

It was great to meet Maggie and check out her store - The postcard wall isn't up anymore, so Maggie had to take down all the pictures of Mommy (Mommy polluted her wall with pictures during the Hemmingway's years!)

Dinner on the Danforth

On Tuesday, September 23, we had dinner on the Danforth with Aunties Syl, Tina, Tracy, Tess, Ninang Jo and Mikey. We ate at Messini, a Greek Gyro restaurant - where they put fries in their Gyros Pita - Auntie Tracy said that's how they do it in Greece!

My Daddy is silly...

Can you see the fries in the Gyro?

Kuya Mikey was glued to his DS...
I just HAD to see what the hype was all about!

Looks like he's having fun!

Roti Hut

After picking apples, we were STARVING! We decided to start the food tour at Roti Hut...
Absolutely delicious! Mommy had the Chicken Curry Roti and Daddy had the Curry Shrimp Roti. They tried doubles for the first time and it was definitely something they will get again. I think Mommy was more impressed than Daddy was... her stomach is growling as she types this (at 3am!)

The Roti was HUGE!

Full and Satisfied!

Licked the bowl clean!
(kidding - we had doggie bags)

Welcome Xavier!

We'd like to welcome Xavier to the "Heart" Family!
Congrats Ninong Ray and Auntie Chee-Deh!
See you soon!
