Mommy's sneaky Saturday

The cats out of the bag now...
Mommy had been planning Daddy's surprise party for about a month and with a little help from their friends, they were able to pull this thing off. Mommy and Auntie Chee-Deh were scheming there way to get a day to shop (for food for the party) and cook... They decided to do it the day before the party (January 31) - and it went off without a hitch!

Mommy told Daddy that Auntie Chee-Deh and she were going to have a "girl's day out" that consisted of lunch and shopping in the City. Daddy didn't even question it and even gave Mommy extra money! (haha! He thought she was being sneaky and buying his birthday present!)

The day came and the two sneaky ladies went to Costco and Safeway and back to Auntie Chee-Deh's to cook and prep food for the next day. Meanwhile, I spent the whole day with Daddy and we had a blast! He dropped me off at Grandma's so Mommy and Daddy could have an adult dinner together.

Daddy picked Mommy up in Emeryville and as soon as she walked in the car, he said, "You smell like food!"... Haha! Mommy was quick to respond, "I was standing in the kitchen while Chee-Deh was cooking dinner".

Mommy and Daddy thoroughly enjoyed their Lark Creek Steak dinner - Mommy even said that (gasp!) it might have been even better than Ruth's Chris! It took all of Mommy's might to talk about things other than her sneaky plans and what she's been up to this week... Daddy has no clue!
